Shared context

Context Fabric

A way to connect and strengthen the enterprise understanding needed across strategy, value, transformation, execution, capability, evidence, and learning.

Six domains

Connect the context that AI transformation usually fragments

Context Fabric links enterprise intent, value, transformation choices, execution, capability, evidence, and learning so decisions can move with enough shared understanding.

enterprise

Enterprise

Clarify enterprise intent, constraints, operating realities, and strategic direction.

value

Value

Connect transformation choices to value, beneficiaries, tradeoffs, and intended outcomes.

transformation

Transformation

Shape the changes, hypotheses, priorities, and governance required to move with intent.

execution

Execution

Carry intent into portfolios, products, processes, systems, and day-to-day work.

capability

Capability

Identify the roles, decisions, skills, and support required by changed work.

evidence learning

Evidence & Learning

Observe outcomes, test assumptions, improve context, and inform what happens next.

Cold start flow

Begin before perfect information exists

  1. Signals
  2. Synthetic Context
  3. Challenge
  4. Ground
  5. Act
  6. Observe
  7. Learn

Synthetic context is a labelled starting hypothesis. It must be challenged and grounded before it is represented as enterprise truth or used for consequential action.

Context lifecycle

Decision-Sufficient Context improves through use

The goal is not certainty for its own sake. Confidence should fit the consequence of the decision, and context should improve as action produces evidence.

  1. Synthetic

A provisional context assembled from signals and explicit assumptions to enable an informed start.

  2. Challenged

A provisional context tested for gaps, contradictions, consequences, and alternative interpretations.

  3. Grounded

A context strengthened with relevant enterprise evidence and accountable human judgment.

  4. Operational

A context actively informing decisions, work, governance, and execution.

  5. Learned

A context improved using observed outcomes, new evidence, and lessons from action.

These are context lifecycle states, not maturity levels or an enterprise score.

Boundary

Context is made credible through challenge and evidence

Synthetic context is useful as a labelled starting point. It should be challenged, grounded, and learned from before it is treated as enterprise truth or used for consequential action.
